Check out this adorable little sculpture called Chasing Rainbows by American professional artist Christina Yen, posting as The-SixthLeafClover. Christina hand sculpts and paints each one of these dragons, and they’re available by commission through her store.
And we’ve come to the end of my extended Pride Weekend! Thanks so much for coming along on my rainbow tour!
Let’s hear it for the Rainbow Tour, it’s been an incredible success!
We weren’t quite sure, we had a few doubts.
Would Evita win through?
But the answer is YES!
Ah, sorry, so much Pride this weekend means show tunes come to mind just that much more readily! Also, Evita is one of my favorite shows — the link above is to the movie version of this song by Madonna, but the Original Broadway Soundtrack (all the versions) are really great too!
Okay, back to rainbow dragons. This is one of my favorite designs by Christina, although it wouldn’t have worked as well on my homepage as the main image for today. Here is Spectrum of Dragons, which you can buy from Christina’s store as a lovely 24″ x 86″(60.96 cm X 218.44 cm) print!
Next we have her Prismatic Dragon:
And finally, some more individually hand sculpted and cast dragon figures, one a Reverse Rainbow, the other a Prism Halo, the pair together called Desert Rainbow.
I’m so glad I was able to share all of these awesome rainbows over the last few days, and especially since I got to make this last post today while watching the Twin Cities Pride Parade from the comfort of the restaurant where my husband and I had brunch and mimosas this morning!
I’ve shared Christina’s art before — check out my final April 2016 AtoZ Challenge post called Zodiac Dragons to see more of her work, and also her entire deviantart gallery for more amazing art!
Happy Pride everyone! Take care and stay creative!
