So today is the day I start the WordPress “Blogging 101” class on how to become successful at this whole blogging thing. I’m looking forward to learning new tricks and techniques to beef up this blog, and I’m going to do each assignment post as a writing exercise as the course suggests.
Today they’re all about introductions. I’m to write a “who I am and why I’m here” post, to give new readers context and tell them why they should read my blog.
They also share some good questions to answer in this post:
- Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
- What topics do you think you’ll write about?
- Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
- If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?
So, let’s begin. I’m going to make the actual post it’s own, so I can keep the assignments separate from my actual writing. Back to school I go!
