I ran across this cute interpretation of Hiccup and Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon by American professional artist Ben Diez, posting as phation, and just had to share.  It’s not the typical version of one of my all-time favorite dragons (he’s giagantic!), but it’s certainly adorable, and reminds me of a Pokemon just a bit!

But never fear, Ben has also drawn Hiccup’s companion in the more traditional style, showing off his red tail and all.  Here is Toothless, and also Spyro the Dragon, two cuties hanging out together. 🙂

Ben is part of the Furaffinity community, and a lot of his art revolves around his cute fursona Ru and commissions for others, but I also found this hidden gem in his gallery — in the caption he mentions that he was “drawing too much of that cute stuff lately” (back in 2013), so he wanted to try a different style.  Here is Epic Dragon:
