Wow, look at this beauty!  Here is another design by my favorite dragon sculptor, Lindy Briggs of How Many Dragons?, called Paintbrush Fairy Dragon.  I love the colors and the fairy wings!  I’ve personally never been able to paint or draw, but this would make the perfect gift for an artist!  And I’ll bet that’s just what it was.  Lindy says:

This is my take on [my customer’s] girlfriend’s tattoo – a multi-hued fairy dragon holding a paintbrush.

This has to be up there as one of the most complicated designs I’ve ever worked on! I tried so many different things for the fluff down the back, but I wasn’t happy with any of my attempts, so I ended up going for the single strand mane approach (which everyone does and it kind of annoys me that I had to resort to it). But it’s what looks best, so I guess there’s a reason for that! I feel like I work in layers for these sorts of complicated designs, expanding outward from something simple to something much more complicated. For this project, I first made a plain white dragon, then I brushed on the blue pigment, then I added the purple accents, and finally I added the gold spots. So many tiny gold spots, all made out of clay! Next time I’ll paint – I think it would go much faster and look just as good.

Crafted from colored Premo polymer clay, bugle beads, and Jacquard Pearl-Ex mica powders.
