Thursday Writing Thoughts: Carlos Fuentes quote for Cinco de Mayo

The contract between the author and the reader is a game. And the game . . . is one of the greatest inventions of Western civilization: the game of telling stories, inventing characters, and creating the imaginary paradise of the individual, from whence no one can be expelled because, in a novel, no one owns the truth and everyone has the right to be heard and understood.
Carlos Fuentes, Myself with Others: Selected Essays

It’s Cinco de Mayo and I’m still under the weather, so for today’s Thursday Writing Thoughts, I found a quote from author Carlos Fuentes, whom The Guardian called “Mexico’s most celebrated novelist.”  Then I found a cool Cinco de Mayo dragon by American deviantartist Tamara Willis.

I hope everyone’s feeling better than me right now… Take care, stay creative everyone.
