We keep exploring the art in this April AtoZ Challenge 2018, and since I had Galaxy Serpents on the brain yesterday, today I couldn’t resist this amazing Deep Space Dragon by Australian deviantartist Aret Maw.
This one is really interesting for the abstract body style and posing, and I really like the galaxy colors and starlight trailing from the front paws. It reminds me of something we might discover from the ancient world, like the Babylonian Dragon from my AtoZ two years ago!
Aret is a very big fan of the video game Don’t Starve, which I know about because one of my best friends got hooked on this resource-management time-sink game a few years ago. Luckily, I had Pokemon Go to sink my time into, and never got hooked on this one. 😉
You can check out Aret’s fanart and, if you’re as obsessed as she is, you could even commission a drawing of your favorite character from Don’t Starve, or perhaps your own Don’t Starve original character! Check out her gallery for more art and details, and follow her on Tumblr.
I’m keeping it simple this year with my theme of “Odds and Ends Dragons” — amazing artwork by artists I’ve come across in past searches, but wasn’t able to find a spot for at the time. Read more at my Theme Post.
All of these AtoZ posts should appear around 9:05 AM CT (-5 GMT) each day Monday through Saturday. For even more dragons, check out my 2016 and 2017 posts!
Thanks for reading, take care, and stay creative!

I love the colors of this dragon–cooling instead of fiery. Nice!

I agree, very space and cold rather than fiery hot! Thanks!

Ha, that’s a much better way to address a dragon than ‘adorable.’ 😉 Thanks for stopping!

I love this dragon. Of course, purple is my favorite color. I used to play Pokemon Go all the time. My kids (who are adults now) just started playing again and tried to get me to join them. Not sure I want to start down that path again. I was a bit, um, obsessed. 🙂

Oh, you should definitely get re-obsessed, there are lots of cool new things in PoGo, and you can even get Mew now after a cool quest thing! (Needless to say, I am still obsessed, lol.) Thanks for stopping by!
