It’s Game of Thrones Sunday, so here is a beautiful work called Mother of Dragons by Malaysian deviantartist Hooooon.  I really love the way the little dragons are painted, especially the light one on the bottom right, which has to be Viserion.

It’s also the perfect art for Mother’s Day here in the United States.  Just like Dany is the Mother of Dragons, I like to call myself the Mother of Cats, so my awesome husband got me the perfect gift for Mother’s Day.  🙂  Here’s a picture of my new favorite tea cup!

Isn’t this the best cup!  And funny story — I’ve been using my Mother’s Day gift for about a month now.

So here’s what happened.  During the awesome April AtoZ Challenge, I came across the blog of another AtoZer named P.J. Keenor, who has a great cat-centric blog called That’s Purrfect.  She gave her Purrfect blog over to her cat for AtoZ, and I happily followed Carlton the Cat’s AtoZ posts throughout the month.  And every day I visited, I saw this pinned post about this great mug.

After coveting it awhile, I sent the link to the cup to my husband, with the note “I know what I want for Mother’s Day!”  I also added that he should buy it through P.J.’s website, because it would help her out, and I’m all about helping my fellow bloggers. 🙂

Then, much to my surprise, I received a package a few days later.  I didn’t know what my husband could have ordered without me knowing, but it was addressed to me, so I opened it up.  I was really surprised and happy to unwrap my “Cat Mother of the Year” cup!

I immediately called my husband at work.  “Hey honey!  I love that you got me my cup!  Thank you, it’s amazing!”

He laughed.  “Good, I’m glad you like it.”

“I really do,” I said.  “But why did you order it so early?”

Silence, for a moment.  “Um, I… because?”

I then put two and two together.  “Honey… it’s early April.  When I said this is what I wanted for Mother’s Day… You do know that’s not until May, right?”

More silence.

“… Well.  I do now.”

Ahhh, husbands.  But it really doesn’t bother me that I’ve been able to use this cup at work for almost a month, even though I shouldn’t really have gotten it until this week.  It makes me smile every time I have tea.  Here’s a picture of the back of the cup, with its “news story” about “me.” 🙂
