Oh my goodness, I’m feeling the pressure since the April AtoZ Challenge starts on Saturday! But I’ve still got to get my weekly post out, so I found an artist who undertook a similar challenge. Please enjoy these really beautiful Spring Colors Dragons by deviantartist Mythka, from her amazing Dragon-A-Day series from last year. The first above is called Dragonfly, and was created for fellow deviantartist pocket-epitome.
Mythka started posting this Dragon-A-Day series on October 1, 2015, and begins with “31 Days of Halloween Dragons.” However, when November 1 rolled around, she just continued with a November Dragon-A-Day, and then December, and on and on! While she didn’t end up posting every single day for thirteen months, there are over 300 dragons in that collection alone, and she was constantly changing up her themes as well. She’s continued with not only dragons but other fantastic creatures since then, and has a really amazing gallery, so I highly recommend you check it out!
Continuing from her Spring Colors collection from March 2016, this is Pot of Gold, created for peachfuzz221. Mythka’s dragons are typically all very eastern, but this one even has a horn reminiscent of the mythical Asian creature called a kirin (or qilin), sometimes translated as “unicorn.” I love it!
As I mentioned, she has many more series besides dragons — in fact, right now she has the commissions open for her Mythic Marvels April 2017 series, so check that out if you have a chance!
Next, here is Cherry Blossoms, created for deviantartist SchizoBug, showing kirin-style horns as well, I see! I can’t wait for spring to get here, and these dragons are just what I needed to cheer me up! Make sure you check out the rest of Mythka’s gallery, and you can support her art through her Patreon site and follower her on Twitter.
Finally, I also wanted to share this cute quote from my 2017 calendar, since I’ve been getting more anxious about taking on the AtoZ Challenge again this year, and if I’ll be able to keep up with the daily posts. This is helping keep my courage up!
And you ask, “what if I fall?”
Oh but my darling, what if you fly?— Erin Hanson
Be sure to check in on Saturday for my first AtoZ post! As I said in my Theme Reveal last week, I’m starting with Avatar: the Last Airbender and the dragons that appear there, but I’ll give you another hint — Monday you can come back for my B post, featuring a classic Disney movie (that was a book series before that!).
Thanks as always for reading, take care, stay creative — and have a great weekend! 🙂

Beautiful dragons! I especially like the cherry blossom one as it looks like the tree on my road 🙂
I’m very much looking forward to your a-z posts. You can do it!

Thanks Jodie! I’m not as far along as I’d like to be, but I have all of next week set already, so I’ve got a little breathing room still! 🙂
